Zofran Lawsuit Updates: Cleft Lip and Palate Implants Being Using Off Label

Law

As the plaintiff’s lawyer, I have been following the case of the Urbana vs. Zofran lawsuit which has been filed by plaintiff’s Piazza and Jose Maria Silva in the Southern District of New York. I am not a lawyer but only an objective third party. What I can tell you is that this is a very interesting case. The case involves a plastic surgery defect which was the result of the surgeon doing an unnecessary operation on Jose Maria Silva’s right lower abdomen during the second trimester of their pregnancy.

Zofran Lawsuit Updates

This surgery was done to remove an abnormal growth which was impacting on their child. It was an unnecessary procedure and there were no birth defects which would have been created by having this done. But now we find out that this surgery resulted in Jose Maria’s death. There were so many questions that were unanswered about this case and it just got to the point of disbelief that something like this could have occurred.

We’ve seen in the media quite a few lawsuits like this. It is important that we as citizens of America to learn more about these lawsuits to make sure that lawsuits are not filed against innocent people who were simply exercising their rights.

Some of the zofran lawsuit updates that have been occurring lately are disturbing.

One such update is the one about the woman who was suing because her child died from the zofran defect which caused her to suffer. She did go ahead and sue but lost. But we also saw another case where another woman was suing because of the same birth defect which ended up putting her into a coma.

Her lawsuit was eventually thrown out of court and she received compensation. It was interesting how this played out because it exposed the zofran defect which was used in both of these cases.

While there is no clear cut answer to whether or not zofran defects caused either of these cases, it is hard to say without knowing what exactly happened in each case.

What is clear though is that there have been many lawsuits because of these defects. So many people are asking questions about this and many more people are looking for answers about what exactly happened. Whether the lawsuit that was settled was fair is still a question that remains unanswered. What we do know is that there have been a lot of lawsuits concerning these defects.

This leads us to our next update on the zofran lawsuit updates.

As you can probably tell, there are a growing number of them. There are even official zofran product lines that are being released so that those with cleft lip, cleft palate, and/or Down syndrome can finally get the relief that they need.

The cleft lip and palate are among the most common birth defects in children. This fact alone should give you enough reason for you to seek out the zofran treatment options that are available. These new products just might change the face of medical care forever.

Zofran lawsuit updates continue with more of these lawsuits being filed and we will keep updating this article as and when new information becomes available.

One thing is for sure though; you don’t have to worry about any of these new off-label medications affecting your unborn child. There have been no reports of such occurring and there is no reason to believe that they might. In fact, they are specifically designed to be safe for use by women during their pregnancy and they are also safe for use by women who are expecting.
