Four candidates have filed for the state attorney’s seat, with a race resembling an election for a mayor’s seat. Della Cope, David Constantine Moran, Megan Roach, and Ken Afienko challenging incumbent Judge Kathleen T. “Kathy” Hessinger. Judges John D. Fry and Daniel J. Kanner remain unopposed. The winner will be announced on March 8.
Jacob Khonsari
In his first job, Mr. Khonsari served in the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office, where he handled a variety of felony cases, including high-profile DUI manslaughters and the senseless stabbing of a homeless man.
